The women’s work in the Immanuel church began in a very small way in 1987 with a women’s cell group. No-one at that time could have imagined that a whole church department would develop from this, with its own special meetings and themes. Today a large number of woman meet together with great enthusiasm in the various regional groups.

The Women’s Day is either held by our own women or a good lady speaker is invited.

Topics such as “Self-discipline – the key to a successful life”, “Maturing together” or “Wisdom or foolishness – what determines my life and ministry?” have been some of the life-changing themes in the past.

The Women’s Day is open to all women who have a desire to grow spiritually.

A real highlight for our women is the womens’s weekend which takes place once a year. It is usually fully booked immediately after the invitation is issued!

This is not surprising, for Iris Höfig and her team of leaders prepare this weekend extremely well. In addition to a lot of spiritual input, great times of worship and individual prayer ministry, there are also plenty of opportunities to enjoy fellowship and relax – whether during Pilates training, aquarobics, Nordic walking ... or simply to unwind over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine ...

Right from the beginning it has been on Iris Höfig’s heart to help and advise women who come to the IGN. For this reason she has built up a counselling network over the years, in which any woman who wishes is able to receive individual help and counsel on a Christian basis.
